Dream Holiday #2 in the Same 24 Hours

I realized I never did a blog for our trip to Hawaii at Thanksgiving. Life has been a bit hectic the last few weeks, but I wanted to have the experience documented.

We, as a family, were able to take 2 dream holidays in 24 hours: Disneyland and Hawaii. People live their whole lives and never make it to these places and we were able to do both in the same day! It was a beautiful time to be in Hawaii. The weather was cool and we were able to miss all the rain they have been having the last few weeks.

We went to be with the family for the year anniversary of Lady Hiva's dad's death. The whole family was there minus one nephew. We ate and worked and worked and worked some more. But we were able to get quite a bit done!

We were able to eat breakfast at Sam's store (our family thinks it has the best musubi, roti and gyoza). We had Melonas and Mochi ice-cream. We drank guava and lychee drinks, and ate as much Zippy's and Malasadas as we could find.

We went to the beach (my favorite part), we fished at night, we went to the fish market in town and, of course, hit the swap meet.

One of the days we did a circle island tour. For as much as we were all in Hawaii, it was surprising to see how many of these activities none of them had done. We went to the Buddhist Temple in Temple Valley, we looked off of Makapu'u point we stopped at Halona Blow Hole, we ate at the Zippy's along Koko Marina (best view ever), and ended the day at Pearl Harbor. That was a sacred experience.

We made a sneak trip to Aulani to get our Disney fix while we were on Island. It is a beautiful resort.
