NEW YEARS DAY 2024--Hong Kong

We started off the 2024 New Year in Hong Kong. We decided to explore more of the city. The Little Muggles decided that they wanted to have Five Guys for lunch. We all agreed that sounded amazing. We went down to the Avenue of Stars to the Five Guys in one of the malls nearby.

When we arrived we found ourselves in the middle of a dragon festival. When we asked what was happening we learned they were breaking the Guinness World Record for the most dragons dancing in one event! And we were able to see it. We wandered through the dancing groups. There were children, elderly, neighborhoods, and many many more! Everyone was enjoying themselves.

One of the stops the two Muggles wanted was the Lego Discovery Center. We had tried to go in August but it was closed along with the rest of the city due to the Typhoon. But we made it today! Taking a lesson from India, We went early and we are glad we did so we could have the space without crowds.

The Lego models built of Hong Kong were so cool to see. They even had lights so it would be 12 minutes of day and then 12 minutes of "night." They even had a version of the underground.

I have learned if I ever want Lady Hiva to not look at me, I just have to act like I am taking a photo! She looks away as a reflex. hahah
We practiced our engineering skills for earthquakes. That was fun too!
Lucky Dragon loved designing vehicles and then racing them.

They had a few small rides for us to experience too.

We went for a walk around the city just exploring. The two Muggles LOVED being in the park. Just being able to run around Nature and be outside was a WIN! They kept begging to go back.

See those reflexes are working again!

There was an aviary in the middle of the park with some exotic birds to watch

Lady Hiva was getting more Bubble Milk Tea to try. These two really don't like the sound of the blenders.

We did an evening stroll along the Avenue of Stars. I booked an Antique Junk Boat ride around the harbour. We loved being out there and seeing the skyline of Hong Kong from a different point of view.

Turtle, of course, had to make his appearance. (I have said it before, but I will say it again...the sheer amount of items Lucky Dragon can fit in his pockets to walk around with all day is astounding)

Our trip to Hong Kong was amazing. We were able to be in nature, eat good food, and get our Disney fix all in the same trip! #winning!
