Tokyo Disneyland: Japan Part 2

One of the things we were most excited to to go Japan was to attend Tokyo Disneyland. This makes us having been to all the Disney parks except Shanghai! Another amazing aspect to going to Japan later than we planned was we were at DisneySea for the opening of Fantasy Springs! We are glad we were there for that...even though it did make the parks more crowded.

We were in line to rope-drop every morning. There was a long line to wait in, but it was worth it. Once in the park you can book lightning lanes and rides in Fantasy Springs.

Fantasy Springs includes pools and fountains where the rock faces resemble some of our favorite Disney characters. We had fun wandering around to see all of them.

One of the days we were at Disney it was raining SO hard. Even with rain ponchos and umbrellas we were SOAKED by the end of the day! I spent the next several hours in the hotel laundry trying to dry all our clothes so we had something to wear the next day!

The three new rides in Fantasy Springs were so amazing. The technology they used for the was spectacular. Some of the technology was new and left us trying to figure out how the 'magic' was done!

I am not really a churro person, but I loved these crème brulee churros! Actually one of the things we noticed that Tokyo Disneyland did better than Disney World (which we are partial to Disney World) is the food. It is not just about the experience, but it is the taste and flavors.

These two passed out while trying to stay dry from the drenching rain!

The Frozen ride is different at Disney World, Disney Hong Kong and Tokyo Disney. We all loved the changes in the Tokyo version.

At one point to stay out of the rain we explored the fort in Disney Sea. We were happy to find this large water table that had remote controlled boats. We stood there for several minutes driving the pirates ships around the area exploring.

In the evening, Lucky Dragon did a "cooking" show for us. We all had a good laugh when he fell of the bed mid filming and popped back up exclaiming, "It's ok!" We now repeat that phrase as a meme for anything that may go wrong "It's Ok"

We went up into the Castle and took photos in the throne.

Every It's a Small World ride is different too. We like seeing the small ways they change. For Tokyo we loved seeing all of the newer characters included in the countries where their stories originate.

The POPCORN was a thing. We had fun seeing all of the flavors that they have throughout the park. Carmel, Honey, Shrimp, Garlic, Beef, Chocolate, Soy Sauce, Butter, Curry...

These two designed their own toy and had it made.

The Beauty and the Beast ride was another ride that we loved.

We were there during a celebration for Donald! They had parades for him and photos of him everywhere.

One of the days we ate dinner at the luau. It was fun to see all of the characters in Hawaiian attire and doing the hula. It was a little bit Disney-ized, and a bit Japanese influenced, but it was still fun to have experiences that remind us of home.

A really fancy malasada.

The one day we did not get a wheelchair, this girl knocked out on a park bench. Actually, we loved how there were benches all over for us to rest throughout the day.

We were able to ride all of our favorite classic rides--Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room,  It's a Small World, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Space Mountain! Splash Mountain was the old Song of the South version still. So that was cool. Tiki room was made into a Hawaiian version. The Birds were named Hawaiian names and they sang more Hawaiian styled songs.

We are an "Arms up!" family on all rides! Adds to the fun of the experience.

The mochi balls were shaped into green aliens from Toy Story. We all like the vanilla and strawberry versions. None of us liked the chocolate ones!

The one time in my life that I stood in line for a popcorn bucket! I have never done that before. I am not really crazy about popcorn to begin with. It is ok, it is not that I hate it, I just don't love it either...it is just ok. But I liked this Ben Ben bucket that lights up.

Fantasy Springs has Arandelle, Neverland, and Rapunzel's forest and tower.

Journey to the Center of the Earth was also one of our favorite rides!

The flowers around the park are so amazing!

This guy loved figuring out how all of the mechanics worked on the items around the parks. He was sure that we could make this sign. He studied it for a long time to figure out how it worked.

Lady Hiva and I loved to see all the American flags flying in Disney as part of the décor for the different areas.
