Eating Around the World: EPCOT

EPCOT is one of our favorite places to go at Disney. Part of this is our love for the different cultures around the world. Disney does so well with the details and theming that it makes us feel like we are really there.

It is the Food and Wine festival right now so we loved trying food from around the world. Our favorite, ironically, was Canada. The Braised Beef Poutine and the Bourbon Cheesecake were THE BEST! WE made sure to try somethin from all of the food stands that are open (more will be open after 1 OCT). Each of them were delicious. We went back to Canada several times. The kids loved to see Remy everywhere. They have him placed around the world and you can purchase a game for them to play as they go around. This is in addition to the Kidecot program they can do too!

Walking around EPCOT after seeing the documentary series on Disney+ about the history of Disney, there is such a tremendous appreciation for Walt Disney and his vision for a world that has joy and love for diversity. He was a visionary man and we get to reap the benefits of his thoughts. It shows that Disney is more than a theme park...it is a culture, a place where we can all belong.

The aquarium in EPCOT is a hidden gem. Make sure to take some time to see those fish and manatees. It was beautiful to see the way the Nemo ride seamlessly drops you off to see the fish.

We love finding Hidden Mickey's everywhere we go and EPCOT is a treasure trove of them. We took photos of several that we have seen.

Soarin' is one of my favorite rides of all time. We were able to ride it several times throughout our trip. We even found some candles and oils that had the smells of Soarin' and that way we can bring the magic of Disney home with us!

We loved going on the Figment ride several times. We all know the song from the Disney soundtrack that is on loop in our car all year, but now we can put our memory of the ride with it. After the ride has several fun "hands-on" stations that our kids loved.

One of the popular rides in EPCOT is Frozen. The ride is a boat ride that uses a combination of technology. It was great! The line is the longest wait of all the rides in EPCOT. But it is worth it.

For the first time we watched the American Adventure. It was a great way to get out of the heat for a bit, but the story line and the scene changes are amazing!

The restaurant in Morocco is closed right now, but the space is open. It was a great place to rest halfway through the world Show case. Quiet and air conditioned!

We did do one sit down restaurant at EPCOT this time (the rest of the time we were just eating around the world). We ate that the Rose and Crown. Our favorite part was the Sticky Toffee Pudding!

The ride Living With the Land is one of our favorite rides. Not only is it educational, it also has so many hidden Mickey's! After riding this ride in February, we decided to plant pumpkins on our pergola outside. It has gone really well--thank you EPCOT!
