Turning 8 and Choosing to be Baptized

This week was a special week! It was really busy, but it was a special one. Lucky Dragon turned 8 and he was so excited to get baptized. All year we have been talking about baptism and what it means. I was proud of this little guy. He is always serving and finding ways to tell people he loves them. It was great to find a way to help him know we love him.

We decorated the house. It is now a tradition that we decorate for their bitrhdays. I think they look forward to that more than anything on their birthdays! He wanted a beach/pirate theme for his birthday this year so we had fun creating this theme for him.

We opened a few gifts and then went to eat at the Original Pancake House. He wanted to have chocolate pancakes.

We went to All-Star and played games together. That was his request to do for his birthday. We were able to play for several hours.

The three of them did the Virtual reality. It was funny to watch them. I did not play because the 4th player did not work. But it was just as entertaining to watch.

The next request was for Baskin Robbins ice cream.

Lucky Dragon was so excited to show me he "spelled" his name with toy figures.
Then he wanted to go look through the Lego store.

So many family members came to celebrate with him. We are thankful for the goo people we have in our lives. We had people so giving and loving. Family members stepped into pray, played the piano, mowed our lawn, provide food, give gifts, and spent hours and hours with us this weekend--even though we knew they had other things to be doing.

Another tradition we always have is a pinata. This year we did two. One for "just us" and then another for the rest of the family.

The day of the baptism Lady Hiva woke up early to make chicken. I was able to sneak in some photos of her serving and sacrificing for others to enjoy their day.
