Labor Day = Family Day

Labor Day is always a great day. It is often beautiful weather and there is plenty of time to spend with family. This week we have been able to spend time with all kinds of family!~

On Saturday we were with Lady Hiva's siblings for a celebration for her graduation. We played pickleball, ate good food, basketball and ran through the sprinklers. It was simple, but fun.

Sunday, we had a larger family get-together with al the cousins in Northern Utah. There are many cousins that came, but many others that did not. We all love that our children are learning to get to know each other. We laughed, we told stories, we prayed, we enjoyed the weather and being outside.

We closed out the weekend in Beaver enjoying the mountains--again with cousins. We played, and played hard. We ended the day dirty and exhausted, but all of us had so much fun. We are thankful for Papa and Pluba for helping us have such a great day.
We rode side-by-sides up the mountain and it was so much fun. We had three of them and we all switched around so we everyone was able to drive and cousins could ride with each other. It was so much fun to hear the kids laughing together in the back as we jostled over rocks and through streams.

I had to wear Lady Hiva's glasses as we drove down the mountain at a high speed...you can see the bugs on my glasses.
Lady Hiva drove up some of the steep parts--I was proud of her. The side-by-side that we were riding was missing the drain plugs by our feet. So when we went through a big puddle at high speed, the water was a muddy fountain straight up into the vehicle and covered us. We smelled bad and laughed and laughed. On the next big puddle, Lady Hiva (who was driving) said she would cover her side of the hole. But she only covered the left half, so when the fountain of muddy water came up, it just redirected over to me! HAHAHA

The photos above were us hiking to the water tower on the ride up the mountain. The photo below is from the road on our way down the mountain. Crazy to look at it from this view and see that we were there!

Three Creeks Reservoir...completely empty. Such an interesting sight knowing that this is where we usually go cliff jumping. It was green on the mountain due to recent rains, I was surprised how green considering it was September!

Lucky Dragon found this bark and flowers in the field. I walked in the room and saw that he had created this art exhibit! He is such an amazing artist.
