When going through Switzerland a stop in Lucerne is obligatory. It is a beautiful city any time of the year. But summer is especially beautiful. The green and blue water with Medievil buildings and colorful flowers make it a picturesque place.
The covered bridges are historical art in themselves. But they also have historical art in the beams. You can learn about history of the city and area just crossing the bridge.
We all wanted to jump in. The water was so clear and inviting. It was just moving too fast to try.

We all laughed when Lady Hiva was angry that someone had just thrown in a bag of rubbish. When we all looked that bag of rubbish popped up it's head! It was a swan...haha
These two stopped at every fountain we passed.
