Normandy Post #2 -- Mont Saint Michel

I was able to fulfill a wish from when I was younger and obsessed with traveling the world--I got to see Mont Saint Michel in person! It was magical.

The day was beautiful and the walk was amazing. Lady Hiva wanted to take the shuttle out to the island, but I wanted the experience of walking. Thankfully they have built a causeway so you can walk the whole way on dry ground and not have to worry about tidal schedules and muddy feet.

The walk is free, but the parking is expensive--lol. So prepare for that!

These three said the sun was shining...I just wanted one picture! LOL...you can close your eyes later...haha
We went into one of the small chapels on the Mont. It was small and more intimate to rest.

These two sat with the old people praying to take a rest.

The village on the Mount were a connected set of winding narrow streets. It felt like we were walking in Diagon Alley.

We spent about an hour walking along the ramparts that surround the edges of the Mont. The 360degrees are beautiful.

We laughed watching all of the school groups going out into the mud and squealing with fear and delight as the mud squished between their toes.
