We were making our way home to Germany and we had noticed several photos of a place called Honfleur. As I was driving I saw signs for it and decided to take a detour and go check it out. I am so glad that we did! It was a fun mix of port city (thing Portsmouth, NH) and a Medieval pirate town. We all loved it.
We tried several of the candy shops around the town. Favorites were the caramels. Normandy is famous for milk carmels. Lady Hiva wanted to try them all.
These two are really good travelers. I am always so thankful they are willing to drive so long to see new things. They have had lots of practice--they may not even know anything different. They have been traveling for years in long car rides.
