Exploring the Canals and Alleys of Venice

Venice did not disappoint. It was so amazing to be here. It was winter so there were not as many people that was amazing. We spent the day wandering around the canals and down alleys to see what we could find. We took SO many photos. Everywhere we turn it is something new to see.

We realized Lady Hiva's dream to ride in a gondola! It was fun to do. She said that last time we were in Venice she regretted not doing it, so we made it happen this time.

These two set a challenge to see how many people they could get to wave at them. They also had fun pretending they were on Destination X and watching for the masked Venetians.

I started to take photos of faces around Venice. There are so many faces to be found. Each is unique and fun to see. They all had a story.
Another stop at a grocery store! haha

More faces from around the city.

We went into the Doge Palace. It is so opulent. There are beautiful art to see all over the walls, ceilings and in the hallways.

We all laughed at the battle scenes. There is plenty of things to see. We thought the beheaded people or the guy with an arrow in his head gave us the most laughs. Not sure why the artist thought those needs to be front and center.

Going down into the dungeons and prisons!

These two liked playing floor is lava on the 3d marble flooring.

Next to grocery stores and churches, the next thing we all love to see is bookstores!
