Another Country Added to the List: Sweden!

We were in Copenhagen and decided that we wanted to cross another country off on our visited list. We drove across the LONG bridge (which also was the most expensive bridge we have crossed) to Malmo, Sweden.

When we visit a new place there are a few things we always do in order to say we have visited:
1- Grocery store (or two or three)
2- A church (or two or three)
3- A cemetery
4- Historical experience or museum
5- Shopping
6- Eat

We did all of those things and much more!

In the old town square it was some Swedish folklore celebration. We were treated to some traditional costumes, instruments, and dancing.

We wandered around the old town and for a few hours and saw the shops along the way. The city also has some beautiful parks that we past.

On a recent road trip we read (or listened) to the book Remarkably Bright Creatures  by Shelby Van Pelt. We then watched the movie adaptation of it on Netflix. It was also good, but as true book lovers, we all agreed the book was better. Everywhere we went we pointed out the octopus art and mentioned that it was Marcellus. We all started to notice the Dala horse too. Both octopus and Dala horse are pivotal characters in the book.

They are traditional carved horses from Sweden that were started hundreds of years ago to do something during the long dark months of winter.
