We spent time in Nice. We were there a few times. Once to explore and once to drive through on our way to Monaco. It is a beautiful seaside community. It has more of a Southern California vibe than a French Riviera vibe. We drove along the seaboard and watched all of the bikers, runners, and holiday makers. The sun was out and the sea was clear and blue.
We ate a French Bakery complete with fresh pastries and bread. We knew it was good when we were standing in a line of locals that goes out the door--one of our marks of a good food place is if the locals line up to eat there. This place did not let us down. The water is so blue because the beaches are basically rocks. There is no sand to stir up and be cloudy. That made it good to watch and even better to stand and throw rocks--which our two Muggles can do for hours. We stopped at a few of the beaches just to throw rocks.
We all loved how the rocks all were unique and beautiful.
This bridge reminded us of home and the bridge in Haleiwa. It was bigger than the bridge in Haleiwa, but it was great.
We loved visiting Nice, but we were glad that we did not stay there. It was beautiful, but it was a bit touristy.
