Lay Over in Lyon

After work last week I asked Lady Hiva if she wanted to go to the French Riviera. It is another destination on our list and we had a long weekend. So we went home, threw items in a suitcase and off we went! Thankfully, our two Muggles are good at packing now. We just have to tell them how many days we are going and they go grab what they need and we put it all in one suitcase and take off.

It was a bit long of a drive to make in one evening, so we decided to drive to Lyon, France as a stopping point. We are thankful for the Jim Dale version of Harry Potter on Audible. The amount of times the four of us have read the entire series is uncountable. But it helps pass the time in a car ride.

Lyon has so much history. Ancient history, war history, recent history. We could see ruins and we could go around the old city to see the maze of tunnels and alley ways that were used by the French Resistance during the war. They could get around the city in ways the Nazi's did not understand.

This statue was of a man carrying the weight of his inner self. I thought it was a profound statue.

These shields mark the passageways that you can go explore.
