ROAD TRIP JOURNAL: Disneyland

Disneyland was our next stop on our unplanned trip! WE drove into LA from San Francisco and were making good time until we were 3 miles from our exit and the road was shutdown both ways due to a bad accident. We spend 2 hours sitting in a freeway parking lot in the middle of the night! HAHA. 

We learned a few things--1 we like Disneyland, but we are definitely Walt Disney World people. 2 There are some things that Disneyland does better, and other things WDW is better. For example, Disneyland has covered parking garages--that is much better than the hot lots in Florida. Disneyland also has plenty of trees and shade--at least on the Disneyland side. The California Adventure side is still really hot. Hotels are cheaper in Florida. There are more food options in Florida. Florida has more parks to enjoy. 

We found a Goofy's Kitchen reservation. It is the first Character dining we went to when Lucky Dragon was a little guy. We learned then, it is the best way to see characters and not have to worry about it in the parks later. And the food is always really AMAZING! 

We saw Moana down an alley--that was surprising. Especially, since she did not have an escort. The characters always have escorts in Florida. We stood and watched for a minute not sure if it was just some random girl dressed up! HAHA

It was a long and hot day. But we opened the park and stayed until it was almost closed. Our feet were tired and we were sweaty. But we had so much fun!
