We came into the city over the Golden Gate Bridge at night. That was a cool way to start our stop in the city. We had so much fun seeing some of the sights around the city that we have seen in movies and shows we have watched together as a family-- The Golden Gate Bridge, All of the streets on Monk, the Palace of Fine Arts in Dating on the Spectrum.
Overall, we were all really impressed with San Francisco and how clean it is. We did the touristy thing and walked along the Piers and Fisherman's Wharf. But that was our most unliked part of the city. There are so many cute an beautiful neighborhoods around the city to explore.
We all had to try the Sour Dough bread. Lady Hiva loves to try the food unique to a place, so in San Francisco we had chocolate and Sour Dough Bread! Both are delicious!
Many of the seals were off for summer breeding season. But some of them were still there and we enjoyed watching them once in awhile.
We all liked looking at Alcatraz across the bay.
We ate Ice Cream at Ghirardelli Square. It was amazing! Very rich, but amazing.
Our hotel was cute. It was an old apartment complex that is now a hotel. It was as if we had our own little apartment. We loved all the flowers around the place too.
We went down Lombard street. It was the first time I had driven down it. Most of the time we just took photos at the top or bottom.
We took several cable car rides through the city. It was a great way to experience so many parts of the city! It was also fun to watch the various types of people who come in and out of the city.
Chili in a sour dough bread bowl was a win! I ordered it, but we all ate it because it was so delicious.
We were so glad that we brought jumpers in the back of the car. It was a bit chilly in San Francisco, especially compared to the hot desert drive we just finished.
