Since we were on National Park kick, we made it to another Utah icon--Zion National Park. It is one that I went with my family many, many times growing up. It was fun to go back with my children and to see all of the things that have changed and the things that have NOT changed over the years.
We were lucky that Heather and her kids joined us for the excursion too. It was such a beautiful day. We loved the park. We decided to hike "The Narrows." Which is up by the North end of Zions. The bus takes us on a slow but beautiful ride up the entire National Park. Then at the end of the ride you can walk along the Virgin River for about a mile. Then the Canyon gets too narrow and you have to walk in the Virgin River the rest of the way.
The water was so clear and cool. It made such a wonderful hike.
Lucky Dragon said this was the BEST hike we have been on! That made me happy. Usually they are hot and angry at the end of hikes! But the shade of the canyon and the water made for a perfect combination.
This one was full on swimming as soon as the water was deep enough she could get in!
There was a fire nearby so we thought the sun looked like a glowing neon ball.
Much like other National Parks we have been to, this one was awe-inspiring. However, photos don't do it justice.
