ROAD TRIP JOURNAL: Provo Utah Freedom Festival

We decided to make it back to Provo, UT for the 4th of July. Provo has one of the largest celebrations of Independence Day in the country. It is several days long full of parades, fireworks, and activities. We used to go when we lived in Utah years ago and we thought it would be good for the kids to experience where we live all over the world and the 4th of July has a completely different process then.

We went to the parade in the morning. That was really fun. Hot and sunny, but fun. Luckily, we had our trusty umbrellas with us. HAHA. We had talked about going to the Stadium of Fire--the annual concert and firework show. But by the time we looked for tickets they were all sold out except the really expensive ones. But then Lady Hiva's sister-in-law had some extra tickets they were not going to use, and asked if we wanted to go. That was so nice of her. We went and enjoyed it.

They broadcast the concert and the fireworks to all the US troops around the world. It was special to honor all those in the military who are sacrificing for us.

The concert was Rascal Flatts this year. They put on a good concert. We did not know many of their songs, but we still enjoyed it. For being an older group, they put on a good show.
