Exploring Christmas in Singapore!

When we lived in Manila years ago several of our expat friends would travel to Singapore to have a holiday.  We did not realize why. Now we do. It has been an amazing place to explore and learn about. These next several blogs will cover some of the things we have learned and enjoyed!

Starting off with the important things first--Christmas! Haha. Lady Hiva would argue that the first should be food, but hey, she doesn't want to write blogs, so I get to choose. Hahaha!

We loved how Singapore was decked out and ready for the holidays. All the malls were spectacularly arrayed in trees and garland. Each mall looking more posh and glamorous than the last. (In my exploration I have found Singapore has LOTS of malls!) In the central areas of the malls there are huge booths set up to buy your Holiday gifts and decor.

If we had known we were coming we could have just bought all of our Christmas gifts here.

The lights, the trees, and the Christmas carols are everywhere! It was one of the many reasons this has felt like being back at home!

Our first day (pre-cancer removing nose job) we went to Universal Studios. I will dedicate a blog to that later...after the food blog so Lady Hiva doesn't revolt! Haha. It too was all decorated for the holidays!

And the stores! So many stores from the US! All the brands we love from home are accessible here!

We spent nearly an hour just walking around Toy-r-Us! The kids loved it.

Look at these very expensive Japanese melons you could gift to someone!

We found several pop-up Disney stores!

The Marina botanical garden was also Christmas themed. It was so good to just wake around and see all of the nature.

They were so excited to hide as ornaments...can you find them!

One night they had a hip-hop and rap version retelling of the Luke 2 Christas Story. Joseph could sing! And Mary had some crazy dance moves.

Singapore is such a clean city. And walkable. There have been so many things to e plore  y just getting out and walking!

So glad we had a chance to come...not the reason for coming, but that we made it here. It made the Christmas season feel more like Christmas.  So  although we are spending a majority of the season in a hotel...again. At least we can enjoy it all!

Stay tuned for some more Singapore fun!
