Spring Break In Turkey

After going back and forth every couple hours for several weeks, we finally decided to get Lady Hiva and the Muggles to Turkey. We were able to get some cheap tickets. I met them in Istanbul and we spent the weekend there. It was so much fun showing them around! 

They then came back to Ankara with me so they could meet the people I was working with and see the hotel I was staying in. I loved having them there. It was so sad when they had to leave. 

We ate amazing food. All of our favoites. Strawberries, Pide, Kaymak, Bal (honey). 

We did a Bosphorus tour. I loved it. This city is a beautiful. It is even better because I had my people with me to explore. As we went to different places we showed them what we did when we lived here when Lucky Dragon was small. Also when I was exploring while I have been here. I showed them the things I sent photos and videos of as they were here. 

On Easter Sunday we happened to be in a mosque, they asked if we wanted to sit and listen to a quick lesson about Islam. We did that. it was cool to hear about belief systems. It was interesting and provided so many conversations  as a family about life, religions, and belief systems.
