Our last stop was Colmar, France. Again, we loved it even more in the summer. Seeing it with Christmas markets was magical, but in the summer with flowers was just as perfect.
I asked the kids earlier in the day if they wanted to see the Statue of Liberty. They were so confused thinking I was taking them to New York City. But I explained to them that Colmar also has one because the artist was from there. I showed them the markers on the ground that had her face on them. It was fun to wander the streets and find the markers. Each one told a story of a nearby building or historical area of the city.
At the end of the tour, we drove out to the North part of the city and took some photos of her. Why the passenger photographer (I was driving) only took photos of the backside, I will never know! UPDATE: After posting the blog...one of the other photographers in the car had a face photo for Lady Liberty!

When the kids were up here, I taught them the phrase our Muggles have loved (thanks to Spongebob) "Ich Fliege!" Then they would jump and I would catch them.
Koala Bear jumped once and my glasses were tucked into my collar, they got squished between us! These glasses are/were my favorite. I had them for years. They broke. Lady Hiva bought me a new pair...kept them for another few years and they broke again. Hopefully, some super glue (or forever glue as one the kids call it) will work
