Madre wanted to go see Neuschwanstein Castle. Last time she was in Europe we never made it, so this time we needed to make it happen. The tickets were booked out for months, so we could not make it into the castle, but we wanted to go at least see the village.
We spent the morning at a water parkin Munich, that was so much fun. Then we went through the countryside to see the castle.
We enjoyed seeing the village. Because we were not rushing up the hill to meet a ticket time we could explore the village more. It was perfect. Especially the lake. It was picturesque. We spent several hours there.
I rented a row boat and we went out on the lake for awhile. It was a hightlight of our entire trip. It was beautiful out there.
Everybody took a turn rowing.
