Our last day at Disney was Animal Kingdom Park!~ This park is one of my personal favorites from working here years ago. There were some things that we missed--The Lion King show is one of them (but that is coming back later this year). But there were some AMAZING additions from when we were here last.
We went straight back to do Kilimanjaro Safari and saw the animals. It brought back so many memories of driving that very same track and telling stories too. We then started to collect all of the educational stickers from around the park. It as great to go around and find the stickers while learning new facts about animals and places. The two Muggles really liked it. So did we.
We saw several animals throughout the park. Some exotic animals, others more common but all were fun to watch. The kids liked seeing all of the places we watched on the Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom on Disney+. I am glad that we watched that and they could see the animals and doctors that watched on film.
We rode Everest the Rollercoaster. Lucky Dragon was so excited to ride it with me and then again with Lady Hiva. He could not stop talking about the Yeti that tried to "get us." HAHA
We ate at the Yak and Yeti and the food was AMAZING! I had the vegetarian curry and Lady Hiva had the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich. I told Lady Hiva I am ready to go back to Florida just eat there again!
One of the best parts of the park was the Pandora park. It was themed after the Avatar movie. The Na'vi river tour was great...we had to come home and watch Avatar, the kids loved seeing all of the animals they saw on the ride. The most amazing ride though was the Avatar Flight of Passage. It is truly an experience like none other. It was decidedly one of the family favorites!
Animal Kingdom closes early and we went to Disney Springs to get some delicious and BEAUTIFUL desserts.

When we got home I went to do some laundry in the hotel laundry facility. There was a problem with two of the washers. So the front desk gave me a refund and I put them into two other washers. Then about 0100h the fire alarms went off. We went outside with all the other guests in the hotel. They came out in their PJs, their straight up underwear and whatever else they were wearing. Then we found out it was the washer that my clothes were in that started the fire! OH DEAR. So I spent the next 3 hours walking with security back and forth to the neighbor hotel doing the laundry over there! Definitely not an expected way to spend the day.
