The two Muggles had a few days off of school for Spring break--we still had to work (lame), so we tried to make the best of the weekend. We had some good friends invite us to join them on their trip to rural Pennsylvania and see Hershey!
We jumped right on that idea. We have been to Hershey in the past, but we have only done the chocolate factory experience. We have never done the park. This time we decided to do that park with them. It was so much fun! It was a bit rainy and cold, but that kept the crowds away. For 3 hours we rode roller coaster after roller coaster. It was so much fun!
The park was really great. We had really low expectations and were pleasantly surprised how great all the rides were! Thankfully we are a family of adrenaline junkies and that we are all tall enough to ride all of the rollercoasters! It was a blast. We went on ride after ride.

We made a stop at Gettysburg, PA. It was a pivotal point in the Civil War and thus the History of the United States. Both Muggles have been learning about the Civil War in their history classes, so they were really interested in going. I am glad that we made it there and could put some visials to what they learned.
We listened to a podcast done by the US Park Rangers. The guy who did it was engaging and interesting. He was the type of guy you want your history teachers to be like. Someone who can spout dates and names at you but in a way you feel like you are really there!
We loved driving the back roads and seeing the Amish farms.
We had to make our obligatory photos of Intercourse, PA and Blue Ball, PA.
