Celebrating Easter and Enjoying Spring

The last few weeks have been packed full of outdoor fun! We wanted to spend as much time outside as possible. It is perfect weather. The temperature is around 75 and the sun is shining! We are so lucky.

Easter weekend was so much fun. We did all of the activities with the City. Even though we are in the middle of DC suburbs, Falls Church still feels like a small village. Easter was complete with a community Easter Egg hunt and the Easter Bunny! It was intense to watch how fast so many eggs went!

All the kids had so many stories to exchange about what they experienced. It was great.

We all love to find a body of water and a nature walk to enjoy. Thankfully, the planners for Northern Virginia have created several of those. These two could stay busy all day with a few rocks, some sticks, and a body of water.

Lady Hiva and I went to sit on an old railroad tie while the Muggles were playing, but happened to see this head stick out of one of the old nail holes! Luckily, we did not sit on it! HAHA. We watched for a long time. We thought it was a snake, but it turned out to be a family of salamanders. Once they thought we were sage, they came out...about 6 of them. We later saw a family sitting on the railroad tie. I wanted so bad for the salamanders to climb out on them just to see their reactions!

These two took the camera and wanted to "go see the Easter Bunny." This was as close and they would go and decided to take a selfie with the Easter Bunny. Hahaha

When we are not outside throwing rocks in water, we are inside swimming!

We have taken advantage of all the parks around too! These two love for me to make them an "obstacle course" and have me time them completing it! Maybe we have some future Ninja Warriors.

Koala Bear was so happy to see this truck drive by the other day. She has been taking German on Duolingo and loving the experience. She is starting to recognize all of the German words!

One of the things that has been so great about being here in Falls Church is the great friends that both Muggles have made. Such good people--and good kids. I am thankful they have found people to enjoy.

On one of our bike rides we found an old playground complete with a merry-go-round! I decided it was time for them to learn what my childhood was like on the playground! HAHA. We spun and spun and spun. They flew off and landed hard. But nothing was broken, they jumped right back up and off we went again.

We are loving the Spring weather! I am so glad that we can all love this time together!
