Sea turtles, Sharks and Shells

We continued our mad tour around the island. We made it back to Shark's Cove a few times. Lucky Dragon would beg to go back everyday. We took snorkels and saw amazing fish. And of course, we spent time looking for shells. It was so much fun to just explore everything around the area.

We had fun with cousins! I created an experience that we went around the island and earned our "postcards" for each of the places we visited.

They had never been to Waikiki...so shocking to me for a bunch of people born on Oahu. We took a detour and it was great to see the beach. It was a bit sad because there was LITERALLY nothing on the beach. I have never seen Waikiki that empty before.

Everyone met "Duke" and took photos with him! That was one of our postcards.

We watched the sunset while being on Sunset beach.

We were hoping to find some time to look at the Pali lookout. It was beautiful...even if the best part was closed. I still love this view. Every time I see it.

We earned more postcards at Waimea bay. We jumped off the rock...some took more coaxing than others! HAHA. Koala Bear even jumped off! Not the highest but she still jumped off. I was proud of her.

We earned an unexpected postcard when we stopped by 'Turtle Beach'. It was amazing to see that there was not just one turtle, but nearly 40 of them! Big giant turtles and small little ones. We had so much fun exploring all the area and seeing them eating, relaxing and floating along too.

We went and visited Lucky Dragon and Koala Bear's older siblings' buried in the Laie Cemetery. They had fun exploring the cemetery and seeing all the people we know buried there. Yes, apparently we have raised odd children that love to tour cemeteries! HAHA

We earned more postcards at the Swap meet, Aloha tower and Chinatown. It was so much fun to explore Chinatown and feel like we were in a foreign country. It was great to watch the girls experience Asian styled markets and even get pushed when someone tries to get by and they were standing in the way! HAHA

Another stop they had never been was Iolani Palace and the famous statue of King Kamehameha. It was fun to have them see some of these iconic Hawaiian landmarks.

I took them home around the East side of the island and saw the Halona Blowhole. It was a laugh to listen to all the little kids as they "oohed and ahhhed" at each wave.

On our way home it was depressing to see how empty the airport was.
