Best Scarecrow Festival Yet!

We have gone to the Thankgiving Point Scarecrow Festival every year since we have been back in the States. We were so excited that despite COVID restrictions they were still having it this year! It seems like so much has been cancelled and it was nice to have some normalcy.

This year we all agreed was the best year yet! The scarecrow artists have really stepped up their game. It was fun to go throughout the gardens in such beautiful weather and see what people do to create.  There were some original scarecrows, some advertising local businesses, so gory, some characters from books, some that we did not understand (Star Wars), and some that we all loved. We were surprised there was only one Harry Potter themed scarecrow this year.

As you go through the scarecrows you can vote on which is your favorite. This Sonic one has SO many votes. We, being non-gamers, did not understand. As you can see the Muggles were so confused why there were gory people with Sonic...

The Pirate was the favorite of Lucky Dragon.
This Dragon was as tall as I am!! The photo does not do it justice.

The tulip planter boxes looked like fresh graves! HAHA

Room on the Broom. Themed after one of our family's favorite children's books was mine and Lady Hiva's favorite. It was so detailed. I loved it.

Both Lucky Dragon and Koala Bear wanted to show Heather that the Chik-fil-A scarecrow was named Heather. They wanted to take a photo with it, but when they got close the scarecrow said, "Hi!~ How can I serve you!" And both of them got scared and ran off! HAHA
This was Shaggy with a double chin!!

The minions were Koala Bear's favorite!

Talk about a revival of the old-school! There were SO many Mario scarecrows!

"Do you want to build a Scarecrow?"
