Happy Bird-day Lucky Dragon!

This last week, in the midst of all the craziness of family and celebrating, we were also able to celebrate our favorite little man: Lucky Dragon! It was his birthday! It really was a birthday weekend. he wanted a pinata...so we did that one evening with cousins. He thought that was GREAT! Then we went up into the mountains to do some cliff jumping too.

We started out the day opening gifts--he was so excited to see the Lego sets that he was given. Lady Hiva and I had stayed up all night decorating the house like a scene from Angry Birds--another thing that he loves. We had fun doing it, even if it meant that we were awake WAY TOO LONG.

Lucky Dragon had to attend his piano lesson (of course he cannot just shirk all duties because it is his birthday! haha...he does love piano so he does not see it as a chore) and then we were off to Lagoon! We spent the day there riding rides and enjoying life. It is amazing to me to see how brave these two little Muggles are. Both of them conquer their fears and would ride any ride we could get them on. Lucky Dragon even rode Cannibal! Koala Bear would keep her hands up and yell in delight along with the best of riders! After we were done she would yell, "AGAIN! I want to do it AGAIN!"  I love these two.

Madre and Kell came up and joined us for the second half of the day. It was fun to have them there too. Kell paid for us to go on the Slingshot and that was an amazing RUSH of adrenaline. Clearly Pluba passed down her love for adrenaline from herself to me and then on to our children.

I cannot believe our little guy is growing up so fast. He loves to read, loves to learn and talk. He is constantly exploring the world--breaking open rocks, finding bugs and trying new things. He is a fantastic big brother--most of the time. He is so loving and tender-hearted. It often surprises me how logical and perceptive he is. He is a fabulous helper. I am so thankful that he is learning to pitch in and be a hard worker.
