Summer and School

As many of you know, Lady Hiva decided to tackle one of her long time goals if getting a Master's Degree. She set her sights on a job she really would like: Medical Pathologist to study health issues and find solutions. She found a program she liked and started this year. She was nervous going into a program after being out of her bachelor's degree so long ago. But she took on a full load of classes and was a full-time mum too. COVID-19 made it even more difficult because she had to help the two Muggles with their school as well.

That meant there are several really early mornings and late nights. We work it out that I do the cleaning and the laundry so she can study after the kids have gone to sleep. It makes it hard because we are often running in different directions...and we usually do everything together. But it is worth the sacrifice. She misses out on some of our fun outside so she can complete everything. Spending hours at her desk.

She has completed two semesters now and is nearly halfway through her degree. And she has done all of this and still able to get As!

She is going to kill me when she sees these photos of her studying for finals. But there is no better way than to remember her hard work and dedication. I am so proud of her and her willingness to face her fears and be an example of doing something hard.

Meanwhile I have found fun summer things to do with the Muggles. We go to the pool as often as we can and LOVE it. They both have been taking swimming lessons and doing amazing.

Lucky Dragon finished up his Quickball season. It was delayed due to COVID, but he did amazing. It was fun to see how much he has improved over the year.

We went to spend some time with cousins. This trip was a nature walk through Layton Park. A surprisingly beautiful walk.
